WECLOME to my blog!
We all love to eat delicious, mouth watering foods. However, with the onset of the 21st century and the rampant increase of fast food outlets, many of the foods we consume are not deemed healthy for our bodies.
My blog is tailored to providing modified Trini recipes which are governed by the following principles.
- SIMPLE
There are those who simply don't have the time to make a proper meal while there are others for whom a home cooked meal is a foreign concept. They have no clue where to begin! Thus I have tried to keep my recipes short, sweet and simple. Videos and photos have been included to serve as teaching aids for the process.
- HEALTHY
As much as possible I have tried to incorporate healthy vegetables, spices, fruits, grains into my recipes. A lot of the seasonings are actually grown in my own kitchen garden. These have no pesticides or fertilizers.
- DELICIOUS
I have used a wide array of natural flavourings to demonstrate to my audience that it is not necessary to use artificial methods of enhancing flavours. The products that I use have no harmful MSG in them.
My last philosophy, Made with LOVE, stems from an old saying that one should never be grumpy while cooking. Somehow the food tastes better when we love what we make. It's important that we are in a good mood while preparing and serving food so the positive vibrations are transferred to this food. In so doing we will reap the benefits of what we eat.
